Après le Parti des peuples africains (PPA-CI), le Parti démocratique de Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI), l’autre poids lourd de l’opposition ivoirienne, annonce son retrait de la Commission électorale indépendante (CEI) ce vendredi 11 avril 2025.
Dans une vidéo publiée sur les réseaux, on entend le président du groupe parlementaire du PDCI, Simon Doho, entouré de quelques députés de son parti, s’adresser à des militants rassemblés.
“Vous avez vu ce matin que le PPA-CI a quitté la CEI. Je vous annonce que dans les heures à venir que le PDCI et le CAP vont quitter la CEI », a-t-il déclaré.
« Le communiqué est en train d’être préparé. Officiellement, nous allons quitter la CEI’’, a poursuivi l’élu Bangolo, déclenchant une salve d’applaudissements.
“Nous dénonçons cette liste électorale. On ne peut pas avoir une liste électorale avec six millions de personnes qui n’ont pas leurs données personnelles’’, a-t-il ajouté.
Les critiques contre la CEI se sont intensifiées après la publication de la liste électorale provisoire sur laquelle ne figurent pas des leaders de l’opposition comme Laurent Gbagbo, Guillaume Soro et Charles Blé Goudé.
L’opposition accuse l’organe chargé de l’organisation des élections d’être à la solde du pouvoir.
Elle dénonce également sa composition qu’elle juge déséquilibrée en faveur du RHDP, le parti présidentiel.
Dans un communiqué publié ce vendredi 11 avril 2025, le PPA-CI de l’ancien chef de l’Etat Laurent Gbagbo, a annoncé la suspension de sa participation aux travaux de la Commission.
Le parti pointe une CEI devenue “l’instrument docile d’un pouvoir’’ qui “refuse l’alternance, la transparence et l’inclusion’’.
En plus de l’opposition, la conférence des évêques catholiques de Côte d’Ivoire a ouvertement et récemment exprimé ses “doutes sur l’indépendance de la CEI ’’.
