Lors d’une intervention télévisée ce lundi soir sur la chaîne nationale burkinabè, le Premier ministre Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo s’est exprimé sur les relations tendues entre le Burkina Faso et la Côte d’Ivoire, évoquant notamment le récent complot présumé contre le pouvoir burkinabè.
Selon lui, les cerveaux de cette tentative de déstabilisation, tout comme ceux des précédentes, se trouvent actuellement en Côte d’Ivoire. « Tous les instigateurs sont aujourd’hui installés à Abidjan, qui leur fournit le gîte et le couvert », a affirmé le chef du gouvernement. Il s’agirait de ressortissants burkinabè vivant en Côte d’Ivoire, accusés de collusion avec les groupes terroristes et d’œuvrer à affaiblir le moral des forces de sécurité burkinabè.
Malgré ces accusations, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo a tenu à souligner qu’aucune animosité n’existe entre les peuples des deux pays : « Il n’y a aucun problème entre les peuples burkinabè et ivoirien. Le peuple ivoirien n’est pas au courant de ce qui se trame contre nous. Il est lui aussi victime d’un impérialisme que nous combattons. »
Le Premier ministre a plaidé pour une solidarité régionale face à ces enjeux : « Ce combat pour une indépendance véritable devrait rassembler les peuples burkinabè, ivoirien, malien, nigérien… C’est regrettable de voir aujourd’hui le peuple ivoirien pris en otage. »
Abordant le cas d’Alain Traoré, alias Alino Faso — citoyen burkinabè arrêté en Côte d’Ivoire pour subversion —, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo a exprimé sa surprise : « C’est un homme qui incarnait le lien entre nos deux peuples. Il vit en Côte d’Ivoire avec sa famille ivoirienne et a toujours œuvré pour l’entente entre nos nations. »
Le Premier ministre voit dans cette arrestation une tentative de jeter le discrédit sur le Burkina : « Nous attendons toujours des explications. Mais j’ai le sentiment qu’il s’agit d’un écran de fumée visant à diaboliser notre pays. »
