Jean-Louis Billon, candidat déclaré à l’élection présidentielle d’octobre 2025, a lancé un message aux hommes politiques, lors d’une tournée dans les régions de l’Indénié-Djuablin, le lundi 30 juin 2025.
Accueilli en grande pompe par des populations enthousiastes à Transua, Kolia et Koun Fao, il a insisté sur la nécessité pour les politiques de se rapprocher des réalités du terrain.
« Vous ne pouvez pas rester loin de la Côte d’Ivoire et imaginer la souffrance des Ivoiriens. Si vous aimez les Ivoiriens, rendez-vous dans chaque région pour voir leurs difficultés et connaître la Côte d’Ivoire », a-t-il déclaré, soulignant l’importance d’une approche concrète des défis nationaux.
Cette étape dans l’Indénié-Djuablin marque la poursuite de sa tournée dans le Grand-EST, débutée dans le Bounkani et le Gontougo. Jean-Louis Billon a justifié le choix de l’Est en affirmant symboliquement que « le soleil se lève à l’Est ». L’objectif affiché de cette série de rencontres est de s’imprégner des réalités des populations et d’écouter leurs préoccupations quotidiennes, telles que le chômage des jeunes, la cherté de la vie et les difficultés liées aux infrastructures.
Le candidat a mis l’accent sur l’importance de créer des industries régionales pour stimuler le développement économique local. Il a également promis qu’en cas d’élection, personne ne serait exclu d’un emploi pour des raisons politiques, prônant un nationalisme économique inclusif.
« Si je suis élu, personne sous ma gouvernance, ne se verra refuser un emploi à cause de sa divergence politique. Je veux voir les Ivoiriens réussir. Je défends le nationalisme économique », a-t-il affirmé.
Jean-Louis Billon a par ailleurs appelé à un renouvellement générationnel du pouvoir pour la période 2025-2050. Selon lui, il est temps que « cette génération qui a travaillé avec Houphouët Boigny doit aller à la retraite pour laisser une nouvelle génération diriger ce pays ».
L’entrepreneur au service de l’État et le « Plan B » pour le changement
Invitant les Ivoiriens à considérer un entrepreneur à la tête de l’État, il a mis en avant son engagement pour l’équité, la transparence, des concours administratifs justes et une Côte d’Ivoire unie et réconciliée.
« Vous avez connu des chefs d’État, docteur, professeur, économiste, mais vous n’avez pas encore essayé un entrepreneur. Donc je vous invite à essayer un entrepreneur », a-t-il plaidé.
Il a enfin sollicité le parrainage des populations de Transua, Kolia et Koun Fao, se présentant comme le « Plan B » nécessaire pour opérer un changement profond du système en place en Côte d’Ivoire.
À Transua, Tanoh Richmond, Responsable Départemental de la campagne de Jean-Louis Billon, a exprimé sa gratitude envers les populations pour leur mobilisation massive et leur accueil chaleureux. Il a salué la présence des autorités traditionnelles, leaders communautaires, associations de femmes et de jeunes, et guides religieux, soulignant le caractère « historique » de la visite du ministre.
Du côté de Koun Fao, M. Billon a été symboliquement baptisé Kouassi Manzan 2, Chef de Koun Fao, par M. Kouamé Brou. Ce dernier a profité de l’occasion pour adresser des doléances spécifiques notamment la construction d’un forage, d’une école et d’une cour royale.
M. Kouamé Brou a également dénoncé la mévente des produits agricoles locaux, affirmant que seul Jean-Louis Billon pourrait « mettre fin à leur calvaire », et a réitéré le soutien total de Koun Fao à sa candidature.
