Le chef de l’Etat Français a tenu à réagir, depuis le Vietnam, à la « gifle » qu’aurait infligée la première dame à son époux dans l’Airbus présidentiel, après que ses équipes ont dénoncé un « fake ».
Il est un peu plus de 18 heures à Hanoï, lundi 26 mai, soit 11 heures à Paris. Emmanuel Macron, arrivé la veille au Vietnam, première étape d’une tournée en Asie du Sud-Est qui le mènera, un peu plus tard, en Indonésie puis à Singapour, s’apprête à rejoindre son homologue vietnamien, Luong Cong, pour un dîner d’Etat.
Le président de la République, l’air satisfait, pense avoir « semé », dit-il, des graines de prospérité dans le pays asiatique pour faire fructifier les relations commerciales entre la France et le Vietnam, avide de trouver des alternatives aux partenaires américain et chinois. Quelques contrats (pour 9 milliards d’euros, notamment pour l’achat de 20 Airbus) et beaucoup de promesses (la coopération sur le nucléaire civil ou la construction d’infrastructures) nourrissent les espoirs de la France et des hommes d’affaires qui ont pris part au voyage.
Mais avant de s’engouffrer dans sa berline pour se rendre aux agapes présidentielles, Emmanuel Macron convoque les journalistes pour régler leur compte aux « fadas », aux « mabouls » et à tous ceux, dit-il, qui « ont le caramel qui leur monte à la tête ». Depuis plusieurs heures, médias et réseaux sociaux s’interrogent sur la « gifle » qu’aurait infligée la première dame à son époux dans l’Airbus présidentiel, juste avant de débarquer sur le sol vietnamien. La scène, filmée par l’agence Associated Press à l’ouverture de la porte de l’avion, montre Brigitte Macron repoussant son mari en posant ses mains sur son visage. Le chef de l’Etat recule. Puis tente, en vain, de prendre la main de son épouse lors de la descente de l’Airbus.
