Selon le ministre de la Communication et de l’Économie numérique, « personne ne sera sanctionnée; car la pluie est un phénomène naturel ». Poursuivant, il a expliqué qu’une réunion d’urgence s’est tenue ce mercredi à la Primature avec des responsables de la Confédération Africaine de Football à l’issue de laquelle des correctifs seront apportés pour une solution en cas de pluies.
Le trio arbitral togolais du match amical international qui a opposé mardi soir au stade Alassane Ouattara d’Ebimpé (banlieue Nord d’Abidjan), la sélection ivoirienne de football à son homologue malienne, a mis fin à cette confrontation après la première mi-temps de jeu en raison de la mauvaise qualité de la pelouse mis en exergue par une forte pluie.
Inauguré officiellement le 3 octobre 2020, le stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara d’Ebimpé, dont la construction a coûté 143 milliards de Francs CFA, avait été fermé 13 mois plus tard en raison de la mauvaise qualité de la pelouse. Des travaux de réhabilitation y avaient été effectués. Et le coût de ces travaux de réhabilitation est estimé à 20 milliards de Fcfa. Ce qui a donc porté le coût total du Stade d’Ebimpé à 163 milliards de francs CFA.
