« Contrairement à ce que veut faire croire M. Laurent Gbagbo, les charges retenues contre lui dans l’affaire de la casse de la BCEAO, lui ont été signifiées par la voie de ses avocats », a déclaré Touré Mamadou, ministre de la Promotion de la Jeunesse, de l’Insertion Professionnelle et du Service civique, porte-parole adjoint du gouvernement ivoirien. Il s’exprimait à l’issue du conseil des ministres présidé par le Chef de l’État, Alassane Ouattara ce jeudi 15 juin 2023 au palais présidentiel d’Abidjan-Plateau.
« Selon des informations dont je dispose, aux différentes étapes judiciaires , des avocats ont représenté Laurent Gbagbo, sont venus signifier des décisions et convocations auxquelles ils ont répondu. Le problème que cela pose est, comment est-ce qu’ils ont pu représenter l’ancien chef de l’État et répondu à des convocations et à des audiences judiciaires? Soit ses avocats ont fait du faux et en ce moment Laurent Gbagbo à le droit de saisir la justice pour connaître les intentions de ces avocats. Ou bien c’est une manière de nous plonger dans le dilatoire », s’est interrogé M. Touré.
Selon Touré Mamadou, »les décisions sont rendues selon les principes qui régissent notre ordre judiciaire. La seconde chose est qu’au delà de la décision elle-même de justice, malheureusement nous constatons une ouverture sélective de la loi de 2005, sur les statuts des anciens présidents de la république. Si Mr Laurent Gbagbo de qui émane cette loi avait une lecture complète de la loi, il saurait que cette même loi dit que les infractions commises au cours des processus électoraux échappent au procedure d’exception des chefs d’État ou anciens présidents d’institutions. » À en croire le porte-parole du gouvernement, »cela signifie que toutes les infractions commises lors de la crise post-électorale font l’objet d’un processus sans tenir compte du statut de chef d’Etat. » et d’ajouter » il aurait été souhaitable que cet aspect soit révélé à l’opinion public ».
L’ancien chef de l’Etat, Laurent Gbagbo, président du Parti des peuples africains- Côte d’Ivoire (Ppa-CI), s’est rendu dans les locaux annexes de la Commission électorale indépendante, à Cocody Angré 8e tranche le jeudi 08 juin 2023 pour déposer une réclamation relative à son éjection de la liste électorale. Après s’être adressé à l’autorité électorale pour faire reconnaître l’existence d’un de ses droits, l’ex-chef de l’Etat (2000-2010) a dit ne pas se reconnaître dans les faits de la casse de la Banque centrale des Etats de l’Afrique de l’ouest (Bceao). « Après un procès qui m’a jugé parce que j’aurais braqué la Bceao, je réfute avec vigueur une telle accusation. Dans ma vie, j’ai toujours travaillé pour que je n’aie aucune honte dans mon casier judiciaire ».
Laurent Gbagbo a soutenu son argumentaire par le fait qu’il a été président de la République de 2000 à avril 2011, et que le procès d’un ancien chef d’Etat répond à des procédures bien spéciales .« Je suis Gbagbo Laurent, président de la République d’octobre 2000 à avril 2011. On ne juge pas un ancien président n’importe comment et devant n’importe quelle juridiction. Il y a une procédure pour mettre en cause et pour juger un ancien président de la République et les anciens présidents d’institutions. C’est une loi de 2005 ». Et de conclure « je ne sais pas pourquoi on m’a jugé, personne ne m’a convoqué parce que pour qu’il y ait procès, l’accusé est contacté et on lui remet une convocation ».

utmost to work with the others to veto China joining,

Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico,
New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.As well as China’s application, Taiwan, Ecuador and South Korea are also
seeking to become members, while it has been suggested British membership could yet convince America to
rejoin.Former US president Donald Trump withdrew from what was then known as
the Trans-Pacific Partnership soon after entering
the White House in January 2017.Chancellor Jeremy Hunt this morning hinted that –
as well as the economic benefits of CPTPP membership – UK foreign policy aims also played a role in signing up.Asked whether China should
be allowed to join, Mr Hunt told Sky News: ‘That’s a decision for
all the members of that bloc and all I would say is that
Britain now has a vote in deciding that.’And that shows
our influence in this part of the world is becoming more significant.’
